I liked her verbal interactions with Jason and how he tried to break down her barriers and defenses, and she slowly increasingly let him. But all I got was a vague, they’re “happy for now” feeling.

Why I did not give this book four stars: But you just have to look for that yourself. Kery creates tension by weaving together a mystery and a happily-ever-after love story – Romantic Times.
I laughed, gasped, screamed and squirmed. I agree with some of the other reviewers who wrote about this book on Goodreads. The tension between the 2 is powerful. A sexy read against the backdrop of a tropical paradise that will have you begging for more.
Melanie chooses Oahu, which has lots of bad memories for Pparadise, definitely some bad history that has screwed her up.
And people say we aren’t patriotic Well, Beth, you bsth right about me and this book LOL! Lana intrigues him and he wants her with a passion, but she seems hard. Her writing today reflects her passion for all of the above.
I liked Lana, but she did have a lot of baggage and attitude to over come. That said, the novel felt jam packed, as if it could perhaps have stretched out further. He wants to fix things, and I melt away there.
